The launch of the Action Group Petition will be on 11th May outside the Old Fire Station at 2.45pm, so spread the news. The petition can be signed on this website, at the Library from the 14th – 26th May, outside Tesco’s on the 18th – 20th May and on Market days from the 15th May.

Look out for the Core Strategy: Issues and Options Paper that will be produced during June/July by the Joint Planning and Transportation Committee. This is the committee that has overall responsibility for deciding where the Housing Growth will go in South Bedfordshire. Through the Issues and Options document they will be asking you to choose from 10 options which will include Linslade; East Leighton Buzzard; Luton; Dunstable; Houghton Regis and villages including Heath and Reach, Hockliffe and Toddington.

The Action Group will help you through this process of where and when to apply for this document; will give instructions on how to complete the paper; which options to choose and what comments to make.

The importance of this stage of the process cannot be understated. This is your chance to focus this housing growth AWAY from the Leighton-Linslade area and so it's critical that we all take the time to complete the paper when it becomes available.
